Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
IndiGo’s Doha-bound flight 6E 1303 from Mumbai was cancelled on Sunday after a series of delays caused by technical problems and procedural holdups. The flight, initially scheduled to depart at 3:55 a.m., faced extended delays, leaving around 250 to 300 passengers stranded at Mumbai airport. Despite multiple attempts to fix the issue, the airline eventually called off the flight.
In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and assured that affected customers were being offered hotel accommodations and rebooked on alternative flights to their destinations.
Before the final cancellation, passengers reportedly endured nearly five hours confined inside the aircraft, having already completed immigration. Due to the technical issues, they were later asked to deboard and wait in the airport’s holding area.
The stranded passengers alleged they were left without food or water during the long wait, with no airline officials available to address their concerns. Passengers expressed their frustration with the lack of communication from the airline during the ordeal.
This comes just two days after another IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Phuket was diverted to Penang, Malaysia, due to adverse weather conditions, adding to the series of flight disruptions faced by the airline.
